COPPER MOUNTAIN EXTENDS SUSPENSION OF OPERATIONS
COPPER MOUNTAIN, Colo., March 20, 2020 – As a result of the COVID-19 public health crisis, Copper Mountain has extended the suspension of all resort operations, with the plan to resume operations if and when the opportunity presents itself. The suspension includes food and beverage operations, lodging and athletic club offerings, events, Woodward Barn, activities such as tubing and coaster as well as lift and mountain access, including uphill access.
“We are looking forward to a healthy return to the mountains to ski, ride, hike, bike and play as soon as the COVID-19 health crisis improves, until then we will extend the suspension of Copper operations,” said Dustin Lyman, president and general manager of Copper Mountain. “It is our fundamental belief that spending time in the mountains is good for the soul and if there is any chance for late spring skiing and riding, Copper will be prepared to reopen.”
The top priority for Copper remains to be the health and safety of its staff, guests and local community. Copper is taking necessary precautions to help mitigate the spread of the virus in the Colorado high country in response to orders passed by Summit County Public Health and Governor Polis. Given the uncertainty of the current situation, Copper Mountain lodging and property management facilities will not be taking new reservations.
Guests who have already booked directly with Copper Mountain for advance purchased lift tickets, ski school or other activities will be issued a refund within 30 days. For season pass and Four Pack pass protection inquiries, please email seasonpass@coppercolorado.com and please allow up to 30 days for a response. For lodging reservations, email contactcenter@coppercolorado.com. Please be patient with us as we are working through a high volume of orders.
